In the pioneering phase we are in, God has been putting it on our heart to come alongside and serve local and existing ministries before building our own.
Some Local ministries that we have had the privilege to be a part of are:
The passion week
A week of university and / or college events that are open to everyone, regardless of difference of beliefs. These events examine questions among students about life, faith and God. The topics are discussed in talks from a Christian perspective, offering space for an open dialogue about this between Christian and non-Christian students. Throughout the year, we visit the university campus and converse about faith with students.
Serve the City
Serve the City is a global movement of volunteers showing kindness in practical ways to people in need. We partner with homeless shelters, refugee centers, orphanages, and other associations, offering help and support. Serve the City creates events that mobilize many volunteers to serve in simple ways – sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more. We are the connection between the good intentions and talents of people who could volunteer and a meaningful opportunity to get involved.
Street evangelism
We have been on the streets connecting and talking with tourists, students and locals. Through this we have been able to build connections and encourage people in their search for faith and meaning. This has also been a great way to learn about the local culture, mindsets and discover the needs of Maastricht.
Alpha course
Alpha is an 11-week course that creates a space, online or in person, where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about faith, life and God. We love to be involved with Alpha courses in Maastricht and help facilitate those courses.
Are you running an Alpha course in Maastricht (or close by) and you can use some help? Feel free to approach us, because maybe we are able to help you facilitate the Alpha course or serve in other ways.
